Free zone companies are served the same way mainland companies are, and the free zone trade licence is accepted to open the account in the company name. The zones we are asked about most:
- SAIF Zone (Sharjah Airport International Free Zone) — offices and warehouse units
- Hamriyah Free Zone — heavily industrial, so confirm fibre at the specific unit

The One Thing That Really Differs: Coverage
Coverage in the UAE is decided building by building, not emirate by emirate — and the Northern Emirates simply have a higher share of industrial units, standalone warehouses and newer developments where fibre may not yet be terminated inside the building. Office blocks in Al Majaz, Al Nahda or a RAKEZ business park are usually live and quick. An older warehouse in an industrial area may not be.
So the practical advice is the same one we give logistics clients: ask about fibre before you sign the lease, not after. Documents Are Identical Nationwide
A trade licence, the signatory's Emirates ID and passport copy, and the tenancy contract for the premises. Nothing extra is asked for because the company is registered in Sharjah, Ajman or RAK.
